James FetznerClass Of...1976 Years Attended1972-1976 About MeNot sure what to say here quite yet. School NotesI seem to remember being the class stompee quite a bit--unfortunately for the egos of the stompers, it never seemed to affect me much. ;) Since Graduation...I went off to join the Air Force, spent 25 years wandering around strange places like Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Berlin (Germany), Florida, Saudi Arabia, back to Florida, Ramstein (Germany)--where I surprised John Jaworski by living in the same village as he did, the Pentagon, Izmir (Turkey) and back to the Pentagon. I was there on Sep 11, 2001, though I only felt the plane hit and had to deal with the aftermath. I got married to a German and had a son (Julian-now 20) and got divorced (for a lot of reasons). I got married again to a Turk and now have two young sons (James (6) and Caesar (4)). I took my time on subsequent schooling--I got an Associate's in 2001, A Bachelor's in Computer Networking in 2006, and a Master's in Information Assurance this year. My boys think it is great that I still go to school. I work as a computer specialist now--and the job bounces me all over the world on a regular basis, which is quite a bit of fun. I'm not too far from D.C., as I live in Northern Virginia--this is the longest I've been in one house for my entire life. . .which is really weird for me, as I'm much more used to moving around. Anthony "Biff" BifulcoClass Of...1976 Years Attended1972-1976 About MeProud to be a graduate of Kanty Prep. I feel attending Kanty Prep was the best decision I made for high school. John QuirkClass Of...1982 Years Attended1978 - 1980 (Kanty closed after my sophomore year) About MeCo-owner and GM of a regional roofing company with offices in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Kansas. My beautiful wife Wendy and I met while in college (she went to Gannon) and have been together over 20 years now. We have two great daughters, Lauren (1992) is a student at Austin Community College and Sydney (2005) begins kindergarten in the fall of 2011. School NotesThouroughly enjoyed my time at Kanty - have kept in touch with many of my friend from back in those days. I (and I assume many others from the classes of 81, 82 & 83) would have preferred to do all four years at Kanty, but that was not to be. Those of you who were able to do so are fortunate.
I'm sure the one incident I'll never forget was the time Terry Sorenson and I thought it was a good idea to play "discus" in the gym with 10 lb weights. When we cracked to floor on game day, Father Mitch was none too pleased to have to make emergency repairs.
My only other regret was having been so small back in those days - eh Joey?. Thank god the body finally caught up with the feet.
My father recently passed away and it meant a great deal to me that so many of my friends from Kanty came to the funeral home. Friends like that will never be forgotten. Since Graduation...After Kanty closed in 1980, I attended Strong Vincent HS - graduating in 1982. Following a four-year stint in the USAF, I graduated from Penn State in 1991 with a BS in Communications. Spent the next two years in the financial services industry in Virgina, Erie and Houston and the following four with the Huntsville, TX Chamber of Commerce. Moved to Austin, TX in 1998 to take a sales position with Owens Corning. Migrated to the residential and small commercial roofing business in 2003. Funny how things turn out isn't it - never could drive a nail straight and here I am in the roofing business......I still don't drive any nails. By jcq2 at 22 Jul 2011 - 1:12pm | jcq2's profile
