Adding Images to Blog Posts and Bios

You can put images almost anywhere you can type text. The "add image" link below a text entry box tells you it's allowed. To do so, follow these simple steps:

  1. Position your cursor to the place where you want to insert the image.
  2. Click add image just below the text box.
  3. A pop-up will appear allowing you to either (a) select an existing image or (b) upload a new image.
  4. Then, choose the size of your image, whether you want to "pop-up" the image (recommended), and leave the insert mode set to "Filter Tag".
  5. Click "insert".

In your original text box a sequence of "img_assist" will be inserted. Leave it as is. When you save your page, it will be replaced with the appropriate image.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • You can change the "align" to either "left", "right", or "none". If you need to change anything else, you should delete the entire img_assist tag and start over.
  • Put your text immediately after the ']' at the end of the image assist tag. Don't hit enter or leave a blank space. This will assure that your paragraph and the top of the image will align.
  • You can include two images alone on a line by putting two img_assist entries in place. One should have align=left, the other should have align=right.
