Dear Fellow Kantyites,
On 12/31/2011 A true Kantyite passed away.His name is Dr. Joseph Matala who graduated from Kanty in 1948. He was from the Black Rock Area of Buffalo ,N.Y. and attended Assumption School where he was a star athlete and an honor student. His parents were Joseph and Mary who were very prominent professionals. His father attended Kanty and was a lawyer in the community.
He and fellow classmates,Dr.Joseph Kij and Judge Mike Zimmer became the backbone of the Buffalo contribution to Kanty.

2011 Kanty Celebration

The Kanty Prep Celebration of 2011 was very successful. We reveled with many of our fellow Eagles, some we haven't seen since our days at Kanty. We will be posting links on this site to videos and photos taken at the various events. Please upload your images here. We hope to get the word out for the 2012 celebration. Erie, PA was voted on by those present at the annual meeting to be the host city for the 2012 celebration. It was virtually a tie between Erie and Buffalo, NY. After discussion, the general consensus was to hold it in Erie next year to generate even MORE interest from the later year students um, called "DAY-HOPS"! If the numbers warrant, the plan calls for a Buffalo, NY event in 2013.

The Eagles have landed in Erie PA. NOTE: For those staying at the Avalon, the Hotel scheduled your complimentary breakfast ON SUNDAY ONLY, to begin at 7AM. Sunday Mass at St Peter Cathedral at 8:30AM followed by brunch at the Concourse at Union Station at 10AM with Meeting to follow. Next event, Courtyard Wineries tour on Friday evening at 7:30PM.
