About Me

Worked at Avco-Lycoming for 10 years while attending Bridgeport Engineering Institute nights, earned BSME. At the same time, served in U.S. Army reserves, discharged as Sgt E5.
The 'conflict' and my job ended at about the same time, took up
carpentry to keep busy and food on the table, stayed in that field for the next 30 years, mostly self-employed, sometimes payrolled with a builder, specializing in finish and cabinetry.
Took a position with a commercial contractor as project manager and estimator till I took early retirement in 2007.
Now I spend my time with my bride of 44 years. We have 2 daughters, one of whom is developmentally challenged, thus my involvement as an aquatics coach with Special Olympics.
My other interests are serious bicycling, salt water fly-fishing, and building and flying kites.
