I have been heavily involved in the web and technology since I left Kanty, and have accomplished a lot, often in "unconventional ways". In 1985 got a lot of US news coverage for inventing one of the worlds first 16-bit micro computers using "fish tanks and weird stuff from Woolworths". Even got on the Paul Harvey show. Had a very successful company in Pittsburgh called Apex, and wrote one of the best add-on tools for Visual Basic, called TrueGrid, which went on to become DBGrid in the Microsoft Visual Studio family of products.
