After I graduated Kanty, I attended NYU for one year. I enlisted in the US Navy, serving 6 years. Served on a Destroyer Escort USS Edw. H. Allen DE-531, USS Iowa BB-61 and shore duty in London, England where I met my wife and got married. After being Honorably Discharged, went to Automotive School, RCA Institute and few other schools taking advantage of my Korean GI Bill. I worked for Pepsi Cola Co. repairing fork lifts, Hertz Rent A Car mechanic and NY Telephone, now Verizon as a switchman and retired after 20 years service. I've been volunteering at the USS Intrepid Museum in NYC since 1993 restoring a WW2 destroyer escort from Greece. When the ship left for Albany, NY in 1997, I worked on Intrepid with a group of veterans. I also ran field days on another destroyer at the museum. I belong to Tin Can Sailors Assoc., USS Iowa Veterans Assoc., American Battleship Assoc., Destroyer Escort Sailors Assoc., American Legion, Navy League and a few other organization. So I'm kept busy.
